Ivernia Insurance is seeking an experienced Underwriting Executive to join our company. Reporting to the Head of Product and Pricing the Underwriting Executive will be required to provide assistance in the development of the personal lines portfolio in Ivernia Insurance. The initial focus will be on private car.

- Managing underwriting queries, determining and implementing solutions
- Underwriting and renewing a caseload of motor business.
- Underwriting file audits.
- Develop an understanding of claims for your business area.
- Feedback underwriting trends and developments and their potential impact on the book.
- Identify issues and trends in underwriting processes and take or propose appropriate corrective action
- Liaise with Applied Systems/ Relay in respect of all underwriting and pricing issues.
- Ad hoc project work as required
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Strong technical knowledge of private motor /personal lines underwriting – 2 years.
- APA qualified as a minimum, CIP desirable.
- Thorough understanding of current underwriting and pricing trends in motor and wider personal lines market.
- Good working knowledge of relay and excel.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Drive and determination to achieve results.
- Ability to work well on own initiative and with little supervision.
